The Austrian squad has confirmed a new line-up for the 2026 F1 campaign, elevating French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and handing 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his maiden F1 drive. The young driver, who comes from a mixed Swedish-Indian background, will be the partner of Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the sister squad VCARB. This reshuffling sees Japan's Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid post a half-decade in F1. Who is Arvid Lindblad? Arvid Lindblad took part in first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix in the current season. Lindblad has been marked out as a prodigy by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Regarding the team's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "appears very talented", highlighting his "pure speed". Red Bull prepared a programme since last year to prepare Lindblad for his potential Grand Prix bow in 2026, including runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City. Lindblad stated it was a "dream come true", commenting: "Next season represents a big challenge, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to collaborate with the team and meet the challenge. I am incredibly excited to get started." He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship ahead of the final round in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman's Chance Isack Hadjar enjoys his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Dutch Grand Prix in August. The Frenchman's debut season started on a low note when he spun out on the formation lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. But, from that point, he has been one of the stand-out rookies of the year. His performances included an excellent podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits in tenth place in the championship. A senior team figure commented: "Hadjar has shown great maturity and demonstrated to be a quick learner. Crucially, he has the raw speed that is the primary necessity in this sport. We believe he can succeed next to Max." Hadjar described it "an awesome move" and said he felt "ready". Lawson Retains His Seat To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda. The New Zealander started 2025 with the main team but was demoted early in the year. He has settled back in at Racing Bulls with notable results, convincing Red Bull he merits more time. The Japanese driver, in contrast, has been ejected after a disappointing season. His best result is a P6, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship. The driver market moves mean that there is also no place on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 next season.
